Welcome to Jeff Gordon's Mixed Martial Arts Academy, the only Martial Arts School in Maryland with
Black Belt Instructors in Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

What Do We Teach?

Each class teaches a fundamental understanding of the forms, basic principles and body mechanics of hand-to-hand combat and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ground fighting.  We are now also offering Krav Maga^TM classes for adults.  Krav Maga^TM is the official self-defense and fighting system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It is recognized as the most efficient self-defense system for real-life situations; emphasizing practical defenses against real attacks. Krav Maga^TM is a very modern and practical style of self-defense.

Jeff Gordon will help you or your child develop essential methods of protection and give you the self-assurance to succeed in all aspects of life.

Our kids learn not only self-defense and the ability to "defeat the bully," but emphasis will also be placed on character development, leadership, poise, coordination and attention.

Jeff  is the only martial arts instructor who is on the "approved list" of the Montgomery County Public School System. Through the county's Character Counts program, Jeff teaches behavior development and techniques on "how to defeat the bully."

Martial Arts is exciting, unique, and multi-faceted. It is fun, yet challenging, and capable of molding you into great physical and mental shape. Our students not only enjoy the challenge in their study, but also the camaraderie and brotherhood that comes with training. Gordon's Self-Defense Academy does not sell belts. Belts are earned; and the student's attitude and self-respect are enhanced greatly.

For both youngsters and teens, we offer something they greatly need: the strength to say "NO" to negative, unhealthy peer pressure and the confidence to back up their words with deeds.
